Albert E Sharra, PhD

Researcher

Albert's interests in how the police conduct themselves begun during his PhD which investigated how activists in Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe organise protests in the digital age and how the state responds through policing and state surveillance. This work exposed him to daily activities of the police, including the ways the government abuse the police to block activists before and during the protests.

Mr Victor Sibale

Historian 

Victor is among the few Malawians interested in the history of Malawi Police service.  He has published documentaries and magazines on police history in Malawi.

Ms Faith Chavula

Researcher 

Faith found herself interested in police brutality after embarking on her Master's degree at the University of Witwatersrand. She investigated the consequences of police brutality on public trust in Malawi.
